"Music for Music's Sake"

Honest and the Crow found it's beginnings much like a phoenix rising from the ashes of a previous dismantled project. In late summer 2016 then bassist Maxton Cunningham and Guitarist Rio Breakell couldn't stand the idea of not having some form of music in their lives, so they decided to continue on alone. After figuring out who would play what, the two quickly penned the band's first song, "Death, Please Do Us Part." And the rest, hopefully, is history.

Maxton Cunningham

Maxton Cunningham is inarguably a powerhouse of musical prowess and talent. Appearing in six different musical projects with genres ranging from pop rock to funk to smooth jazz, it seems like there isn't anything he can't do. Not limited to vocals and drums, Max also plays guitar, bass, keys, and a little trumpet.

Max's current favourite artists include Stevie Wonder, Hiatus Koyote, and of course, The White Stripes.

Rio Breakell

Rio Breakell lives and breathes rock and roll. He's played guitar practically since the day he was born, but he only considered taking his music public in 2012, coincidentally the year he first picked up the electric guitar.  Since then he has played guitar and various other stringed instruments for five projects. Rio's arsenal includes guitar, bass, mandolin, and his guilty pleasure - the banjo. He also fiddles with synthesizers and theremins on occasion.

Rio's top three all time artists are Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, and anything to do with Jack White.
